How it works

  • Choose from two workshop formats, Soulful Portraiture & Art of Monochrome

  • You can attend one or both

  • Tiny group size

  • Each workshop has 4-5 fully set up shoots; retouching time and a presentation

  • You get a full set of follow-up materials after the workshop.

Soulful Portraiture — the ‘full-fat’ experience, exploring the technical and creative elements that go into producing outstanding color portraiture. Using a range of handpainted canvas backdrops and vintage furniture, you’ll learn how to create gorgeous set designs and combine colors beautifully to give your images ‘that’ look. Take your lighting, shooting & retouching to the next level, whatever your experience.

Art of Monochrome — celebrate the timeless elegance and artistic allure of black & white studio portraiture. This workshop promises to be an enriching journey into the heart of visual storytelling. By removing the distraction of color, you'll have the opportunity to delve deep into the rich textures, intricate patterns, and striking contrasts that define monochrome photography. Explore the interplay of light and shadow, and discover new dimensions of visual communication.

Come to both workshops and you’ll receive a gift package worth $545: my two full-length online courses and a complete set of my editing & retouching tools, and Lightroom presets:

The workshops are about 3 things

  • Finding joy.

Rediscover what attracted you to portrait photography in the first place—a love of creativity, working with like-minded people and producing breathtaking images. Expand your network and make new friends—after everything we’ve been through, real-world interaction is where it’s at!

  • Creative growth.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re early on in your photography journey or an old hand. The workshops are an opportunity to reset and refresh your creativity. Everything is done for you (while teaching you all the tips & tricks)—you can adapt the setups or not, as you wish. Either way, you’ll leave the sessions with a new set of skills and some amazing images.

  • The triple threat.

The technical aspects of photography are fine, but the best studio photography is about: Color—Design—Lighting. Everything else comes after this! As well as the technical stuff, you’ll learn how to combine colors, rethink your lighting (intuitively) and retouch in a beautiful and understated way. Your business will thank you.
